BS 1088 Lloyds Certified European Okoume 48" X 98.5"

All Noah’s Okoume plywood is European made, meets BS1088 standard and is Lloyd’s certified and is available in 48” x 98.5”and 60” x 122”. 

Okoume is a very soft plywood that is primarily used for marine applications. The colour is light brown to pink and the grain patterns tend to be large curves throughout the sheet. It has 1mm face veneers and equal or nearly equal core laminations with water and boil proof (WBP) glue. While Okoume is not as impact and rot resistant as Meranti or Sapele, it is about 10 to 15% lighter in weight and easier to bend. Okoume is ideal for kayaks and small boats particularly when coated with epoxy and/or fiberglass. For best finished results use Varnish or Epifanes 2 part Polyurethane over Epoxy

Truck Shipping: Full sheets must be shipped by truck. We will contact you with the confirmed shipping cost and get your approval before we ship your order. The base rate for truck shipping is usually for up to 500 lbs. so if you wish to add other items such as Epoxy or Fibreglass there is no additional shipping charge. The packing charge for full-length sheets is $60.00. Plywood and panels are covered with heavy cardboard, doubled edges, and corners.

Courier Shipping: Noah’s will cut full or partial sheets for Courier shipping. 32" x 48" x 4" is the maximum dimension permitted at standard ground rates. We will do up to 3 cuts on full sheets to fit courier shipping at a $10.00 charge. When checking out, if you wish to purchase a full sheet with cuts, please add the dimensions in the notes section at checkout. There will be a $30.00 packing charge.

We receive very few damage claims, however, in the event that your package arrived damaged, all shipments are insured.
