ARK FAIR EPOXY PUTTY

EPOXY FAIRING/FILLING COMPOUND FOR ABOVE AND BELOW WATER

SMOOTH SPREADING EASY SANDING

USE ON:  Clean sanded epoxy or polyester (fiberglass) bare or epoxy-coated wood, concrete, and metal.

SURFACE PREP:    For Fibreglass and Epoxy, clean the surface with Acetone or Lacquer thinner, sand, and remove dust.  Steel, prime with 2 coats of epoxy, and sand before applying Ark Fair.  Aluminum, treat with Alodine etch and wash.   Do not use Varsol or petroleum-based solvents to clean surfaces.

MIXING:               For small volumes scoop some resin (A) with a putty knife onto the edge of a pallet. Add 1/2 of the same size fast hardener or 1 for the slow hardener.  Mix until the same color.   For larger volumes measure with equal size containers or weigh.

APPLICATION:      Apply up to 3/8” thick with a spatula or wide trawl for larger surfaces.

RECOAT:               Sand with 80 grit as soon as the paper does not clog, reapply as necessary.   Finish with primer and paint. Gelcoat will work over small repair areas, but epoxy primer and two-part polyurethane paint are recommended for boats, cars, and ATVs.  ARK FAIR is waterproof but for best long-term results below the waterline finish with 3 coats of ARK Epoxy.  Sand again before applying antifouling paint.
